Plain-language privacy

Your job figures belong to you.

The calculator is designed so the figures can remain in the visitor’s browser rather than being sent to WorthTheJob.

Calculator information

  • Job figures, customer details and proposal wording are calculated in the browser.
  • They are not sent to us by the calculator.
  • When device saving is enabled, the draft is stored in local storage on that device.
  • Privacy mode disables current-draft saving.
  • The calculator includes controls to delete saved data, start a new job, export a JSON file or import a previous file.

What you choose to send

If you buy a quote review, you deliberately send the relevant exported job, costing sheet or proposal. Remove customer personal information that is not necessary for the review.

Review-file handling

Files supplied for a paid review are used to deliver that review. Working copies are normally deleted within 30 days after delivery. Basic order, payment and correspondence records may be retained where necessary for accounting, legal or dispute-handling purposes.

Analytics

The site is prepared for privacy-conscious page and event measurement. Events may include calculator started, calculator completed, demo loaded, guide viewed and payment button clicked. Calculator figures, customer names, addresses and proposal content must never be attached to analytics events.

Square payments

Payments are processed by Square through its own checkout pages. Square’s privacy terms apply to information entered there. WorthTheJob receives the transaction and customer information needed to fulfil the purchased service.

Cookies

The calculator does not need cookies. If analytics or another optional service is added later, this notice and any required consent mechanism must be updated before that service is enabled.
